Wednesday night gatherings

We usually gather around a home-cooked meal every Wednesday at 6:30pm in Commons 328 to be community together, learn some stuff and pray together. Past topics have included:

  • How we interpret Scripture

  • The book of Revelation

  • The 7 Deadly Sins

Worship

The Churches of the Holy Apostles and St. Stephen, an Episcopal-Lutheran congregation just up the road from UMBC, warmly welcomes our students for worship Sunday mornings at 10:30am and invites us to use their space for S’mores nights and time together (they even bought us a fire pit!) Rides are available! Contact Pastor Laura at LSinche@umbc.edu

Bible study

Small group Bible studies are offered at different times, depending on the semester, for students to ask deeper questions and struggle with the Word.

Retreats

A leadership retreat is offered in August to prepare for the semester and every September there’s a beach retreat with students from the University of Maryland, the University of Delaware as well as other Baltimore schools.

Spring Break Trips

Students from all 3 of our campuses travel every year to learn and to serve. We’ve traveled to Detroit to serve alongside neighbors, learned from the Lumbee community in North Carolina, and gone on a Civil Rights pilgrimage in the South.

Pastor Kelsey Green

Rev. Kelsey Green describes herself as sometimes funny, frequently anxious, and completely committed to the liberation of all marginalized persons. Hailing from Long Island, New York – she comes equipped with the accent & attitude to back it up. While racial justice and LGBTQ+ advocacy work fuel her fire, deep friendships, her family, and long naps quench her thirst. She can be seen in her natural habitat - quoting show tunes, doubled over in laughter, and challenging others to “do the work.” A transplant to Charm City - Kelsey brings to the Church a pulse of integrity and personhood for all people, a love of preaching, and deep care for the other.

She can be reached at pastorkelsey@thetablebaltimore.org or (443) 267-7627.
